Senator Suhas Subramanyam wins VA-10 Congressional Race

Ashburn, VA – Today, Senator Suhas Subramanyam declared victory in the General election for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District with an estimated 86% of the vote counted and with Decision Desk HQ calling the election for Senator Suhas Subramanyam.

Over the past year, the campaign knocked over 100,000 doors and raised nearly $3 million.

Senator Subramanyam said the following of his election to Congress:

I am honored and humbled that the people of Virginia’s 10th District put their trust in me to take on the toughest fights and deliver results in Congress. This district is my home. I got married here, my wife Miranda and I are raising our daughters here, and the issues our community faces are personal to our family. It is an honor to continue serving this district in Washington.

Thank you to my dear friend and mentor, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton, for her incredible record of service. Following in her footsteps will be no easy task, but I will work to continue her legacy. And thank you to Mike Clancy for stepping up to run. I look forward to working with him and all his supporters to make our community stronger and be a voice for all Virginians.

Making history isn’t easy, and this win would not have been possible without the hard work of our staff, volunteers, friends, and family. This honor would not have been possible without them.

Now, it’s time to take on the tough fights and build a brighter future for our community. I look forward to getting to work for the people of our community.
