Congressman Subramanyam stands up to lawlessness at pro-Democracy rally

Ashburn, VA – Over the weekend Congressman Subramanyam attended several pro-Democracy rallies, and in Leesburg, he was accosted by a man with a “Trump 2028” sign. The “Trump 2028” man crossed the street, pushed through the crowd, and shouted a stream of profanities at the Congressman.

"While January 6th insurrectionists want to intimidate and bully people into silence, this is not a time to be afraid or cave to intimidation. I will continue to join and empower people who want to peacefully speak up against the lawlessness of this Administration, and threats and coercion will not stop me from making our voices heard.

I want to also thank the Leesburg Police Department in particular for intervening quickly and making sure the altercation did not escalate, so that everyone went home safely,” said Congressman Subramanyam.
