Loudoun County School Board Chair Melinda Mansfield Endorses Senator Suhas Subramanyam for Congress
Chair of Largest School District Within VA-10 Backs Senator Subramanyam
Ashburn, VA – Today, Senator Suhas Subramanyam, Obama White House Alumnus and Candidate for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, announced the endorsement of Loudoun County School Board Chair Melinda Mansfield, who represents the Dulles District.
"I'm proud to endorse Senator Suhas Subramanyam for Congress,” said Chair Mansfield. “As the Loudoun County School Board Chair, I've seen Suhas fight for our kids: not just for their education, but also passing bipartisan legislation to stop gun violence and protect our democracy. As the father of two young girls, Suhas knows the struggles that many of our parents face. He has taken public service to heart and I know he'll make a terrific member of Congress."
Chair Mansfield is an experienced advocate and educator for students with learning disabilities, and an enthusiastic reading tutor helping remediate students with evidence-based intervention that is explicit, systematic, sequential, and cumulative. Her service to the Loudoun Community has included serving her church community as a worship music lead; providing local entertainment at school events and festivals through her own business, Luv Ur Face; and serving as a Girl Scout Leader, including overseeing cookie sales and camp activities.
Mansfield joins Asian American Action Fund, Indian American Impact Fund and Hindu American PAC in solely supporting Subramanyam’s candidacy.

Senator Suhas Subramanyam has dedicated his life to public service as a State Senator, Obama White House advisor, Capitol Hill staffer, and as a Loudoun volunteer firefighter/EMT. In Richmond, he has worked across the aisle to pass gun violence prevention bills, protect democracy, and defend abortion rights. Senator Subramanyam is best positioned to keep VA-10 in Democratic hands because he represents more VA-10 constituents than any of the 16 primary election candidates, and he has consistently outperformed the Democratic ticket and delivered for his constituents. Suhas resides in Ashburn, Virginia (in VA-10) with his wife, Miranda, and their two daughters.
