Suhas for Virginia Campaign Manager announcement.
The Suhas for Virginia congressional campaign welcomes Jimmy Rogers as our Campaign Manager for the General Election.
Ashburn, VA – The Suhas for Virginia congressional campaign welcomes Jimmy Rogers as our Campaign Manager for the General Election. Jimmy previously worked for U.S. Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton as her Deputy Campaign Manager, as the Deputy State Organizing Director for U.S. Senator Mark Warner, and as a campaign staffer for U.S. Senator Tim Kaine. Jimmy has served as State Senator Dave Marsden’s Chief of Staff for several years, and we are fortunate that for the duration of our campaign, another experienced Senate staffer is able to temporarily take on some of that work until Jimmy resumes fully with Senator Marsden’s office in November. He has been a Campaign Manager in recent, highly-competitive state and local elections in Virginia. Jimmy also previously served as Chief of Staff in the State Senate in Prince William County, and as a Shelter Director at homeless shelters in Fairfax County and Prince William County.
“Jimmy Rogers has a strong knowledge of the issues, drawing from his experience as a Chief of Staff and Shelter Director in both Fairfax County and Prince William County. Jimmy is also an especially successful Campaign Manager, in fact he just ran two top performing State Senate races in Virginia last year. And perhaps most importantly, Jimmy has worked in this congressional district for multiple cycles, including as Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton’s 2022 Deputy Campaign Manager. Our campaign is thrilled to add Jimmy as our Campaign Manager for the General Election this November,” said Virginia State Senator Suhas Subramanyam.
“I have had the privilege of working with State Senator Suhas Subramanyam in the Virginia General Assembly, and I’ve seen firsthand his strong leadership and effectiveness on bipartisan issues. Suhas co-founded and co-chairs the Commonwealth Caucus, a bipartisan group of lawmakers who work towards uniting in an atmosphere of divided politics. Suhas is immensely well-liked by colleagues, staff, and constituents, and he’s a thoughtful, hard working legislator.
‘We need to lower the temperature.’ This is what Suhas said during his congressional campaign announcement last year, is a major reason that Suhas decided to run. This quote is printed on Suhas’s campaign literature that continues being shared with voters across CD10. I joined this campaign because we need measured, de-escalating leaders like Suhas now more than ever.
Suhas is truly a public servant. He has served his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, as a volunteer election protection attorney, and as member of the Virginia General Assembly whose State Senate District is entirely within Virginia’s 10th Congressional District. I am excited to join this campaign because Suhas is never afraid to take on the tough political fights, and Suhas is the best person to succeed Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton and continue delivering real results for the people of this district,” said Campaign Manager Jimmy Rogers.
