Virginia Senator Russet Perry Endorses Suhas Subramanyam for Congress
Serving Loudoun County Residents Alongside Subramanyam, Perry Stresses His Effective Leadership and Community Ties
Ashburn, VA – Today, Senator Suhas Subramanyam, Obama White House Alumnus and Candidate for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District (VA-10), announced the endorsement of Senator Russet Perry (SD-31), who represents all of western and northern Loudoun County, as well as most of Fauquier County, all within VA-10. Together, Senator Subramanyam and Senator Perry represent all of Loudoun County, which makes up a large majority of district voters.
"As a State Senator whose district falls entirely within Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, I know how critical it is to elect the right person to represent us in Washington, D.C,” said Senator Perry. “I am confident that Senator Subramanyam is that candidate, and I am thrilled to endorse him for Congress. I’ve worked closely with him on many of the most important issues to voters in our region: protecting abortion access, data center harm reduction, and preserving our natural resources for future generations. Suhas gets what’s important to us and cares about finding solutions because he is one of us. His home is in CD-10, his constituents are in CD-10, and this is where he has chosen to live and raise a beautiful family with his wife. Suhas is a dedicated advocate in Richmond for his constituents in Loudoun County, and I am certain he will be a great advocate and federal partner in Washington, D.C.”
Russet Perry has spent her career as a prosecutor in Loudoun County and with the CIA, protecting our localities and our national security. Now, Senator Perry is continuing her public service as a State Senator, continuing her work to protect our most vulnerable citizens, safeguard our fundamental rights, and ensure every Virginian is treated fairly.
Senator Perry is the latest in several local endorsements for Senator Subramanyam, including Loudoun County Supervisor Laura Tekrony and Loudoun County School Board Chair Melinda Mansfield. Senator Subramnyam is also supported by Asian American Action Fund, Indian American Impact Fund and Hindu American PAC.
Senator Perry is well known by VA-10 voters after having won one of the most competitive legislative races in Virginia history in 2023. She currently represents over 30% of VA-10 voters.

Senator Suhas Subramanyam has dedicated his life to public service as a State Senator, Obama White House advisor, Capitol Hill staffer, and as a Loudoun volunteer firefighter/EMT. In Richmond, he has worked across the aisle to pass gun violence prevention bills, protect democracy, and defend abortion rights. Senator Subramanyam is best positioned to keep VA-10 in Democratic hands because he represents more VA-10 constituents than any of the 16 primary election candidates, and he has consistently outperformed the Democratic ticket and delivered for his constituents. Suhas resides in Ashburn, Virginia (in VA-10) with his wife, Miranda, and their two daughters.
