AAPI Victory Fund Endorses Suhas Subramanyam for Congress
Major AAPI Organization Solidifies AAPI Support for Subramanyam in VA-10
Ashburn, VA – Today, Senator Suhas Subramanyam, Obama White House Alumnus and Candidate for Virginia’s 10th Congressional District (VA-10), announced the endorsement of AAPI Victory Fund. AAPI Victory Fund is a national Political Action Committee (PAC) dedicated to promoting and supporting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) candidates for elected office at all levels of government. The organization's mission is to increase AANHPI representation in government to better reflect the diversity of the country and to enact policies that benefit the AANHPI community.
AAPI Victory Fund is the latest in several key endorsements for Senator Subramanyam, including, notably, incumbent Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton.
This endorsement solidifies major AAPI group support around Subramanyam’s candidacy for VA-10; AAPI Victory Fund joins Asian American Action Fund and Indian American Impact Fund in support of his candidacy.
“Throughout his career in public service, Suhas Subramanyam has taken on tough fights – and he’s won those fights on behalf of people and communities too often left behind,” said Shekar Narasimhan, chairman and founder of the AAPI Victory Fund. “It’s because of this track record of results and fierce passion for justice that AAPI Victory Fund is honored to back Senator Subramanyam’s historic run for Congress. As a fellow Virginian, it would be a proud day to have the first-ever South Asian elected to represent Virginia in the U.S. House of Representatives.”

“I’m honored to be endorsed by AAPI Victory Fund in this critical race. Our campaign is about electing a representative who is from our local community who will make progress for our local community – from protecting democracy to stopping gun violence, we deserve a representative in Congress who will take on tough fights and win,” said Virginia State Senator Suhas Subramanyam. “That’s what I’ve done on the Hill, in the Obama White House, and in Richmond. AAPI Victory Fund is a welcome ally in our mission and I look forward to our long partnership together to elect more strong AAPI representatives.”
