(Sterling, Va.) - Suhas Subramanyam, Democratic nominee for Delegate in District 87, has been endorsed by the Sierra Club, an organization devoted to combatting the climate crisis and protecting our natural resources and environment.

"[The Sierra Club] highly values [Suhas’s] dedication to the protection of the natural resources of Virginia, and we are confident that [he] will safeguard the quality of the land, water, air and our climate,” said Glen Besa, Political Chair of the Virginia chapter of the Sierra Club.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Sierra Club,” said Subramanyam. “Our environment is our most precious resource, and we have not adequately protected it in the past in Virginia. I am excited to work with the Sierra Club and other environmental organizations to craft legislation that preserves our climate and natural resources, and ensures that we have a healthy environment for generations to come.”

Endorsed candidates are selected based on their commitment to protecting and preserving our environment and combating the climate crisis. To date, Subramanyam has received the endorsement of two other environmental groups: the League of Conservation Voters and 1Planet.
