(Sterling, Va.) - Suhas Subramanyam, Democratic candidate for Delegate in District 87, has released the following statement on the second anniversary of the deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville that killed one protester and injured many others:

“Today marks the second year anniversary of the deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville that killed Heather Heyer, Trooper-Pilot Berke M.M. Bates, and Lt. H. Jay Cullen, and injured many other counter-protestors. This rally, along with recent shootings, have been rooted in principles that do not reflect the values of Virginia - they espoused hatred and bigotry, when our Commonwealth is, at its core, a place where communities and cultures interact and flourish. We as Virginians must stand true to our values to fight it. We can, and we will, do better in 2019 and beyond.”
